In Irons (sailing into the wind...constant battle for progress):
- common (standardized) assessments across district
- assessments must be put into a number scale
- some close minded admin
- it being my first year in the district and wanting to make so many changes
- old teachers used to old ways (winning them over)
greatest fear = having my perspective "taken out on me" for anything that goes incorrectly and not receiving any credit for successful changes...having others claim credit
Full Reach (sailing full throttle with the wind):
- some colleagues are on board with my ideas
- principle is on board with assessment ideas and some of the curriculum changes
- know wonderful people who would be fantastic resources with their wealth of knowledge
- have been given the "go ahead" to re-write the Art I Foundations curriculum
